TEACH will be holding a BBQ/Fried Chicken fundraiser at this event – Plate is $12 and includes drink and dessert.

March 4th
Due to field conditions at Bertie HS, the V Baseball/V Softball games scheduled for Friday will now be played at Columbia HS pending field conditions. Start time: 5 p.m.
Due to weather, the home V Softball game against Manteo tonight has been changed to an away game tomorrow evening at Manteo beginning at 5 p.m. Bus departure time – 3 PM.
Due to weather, the away MS Baseball game tonight against First Flight has been rescheduled to Tuesday, March 12th @ 5 p.m. Bus Departure time – 2:30 p.m.

Mandatory Spring Sports Parent Meeting
We will be holding our mandatory spring sports parent meeting on Wednesday, February 28th @ 6 p.m. in the Gymnasium prior to the start of the spring season (Softball and Baseball).
We will have copies of all NCHSAA mandatory forms which must be completed prior to your student-athlete participating in spring sports.
TYRRELL COUNTY SCHOOLS BAG POLICY
In an attempt to increase safety during athletic events and other extracurricular activities, Tyrrell County Schools has announced that effective immediately, no spectator bags will be allowed inside Tyrrell County Schools’ stadiums, gymnasiums, athletic fields or auditoriums.
Our gameday safety procedures at all venues will allow for only two bag exceptions: medically necessary items and diaper bags when accompanying an infant/toddler. Both medical and diaper bags will still be subject to screening at the events. Clear bags will not be permitted.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS
REQUIRED PAPERWORK TO PARTICIPATE IN SPIRNG SPORTS
IF YOU HAVE NOT TURNED IN ALL REQUIRED PAPERWORK FOR YOUR STUDENT-ATHLETE TO PARTICIPATE IN SPRING SPORTS, COPIES OF ALL PAPERWORK IS AVAILABLE UNDER “ATHLETIC FORMS” AND WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE HIGH SCHOOL OFFICE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO PRINT FROM HOME.
PHYSICALS CAN STILL BE SCHEDULED AT COLUMBIA MEDICAL CENTER. YOU WILL HAVE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. ALL PAPERWORK MUST BE FILLED OUT BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT. THE PHONE NUMBER IS (252) 796-0689.
DRAGONFLY IS THE PLATFORM THAT NORTH CAROLINA SCHOOLS ARE REQUIRED TO USE TO TRACK ELIGIBILITY (PHYSICALS, REQUIRED PAPERWORK) ON STUDENT-ATHLETES, CONTESTS, ETC.
YOU WILL NEED TO SIGN UP AS A PARENT, ADD YOUR STUDENT-ATHLETE AND SUBMIT YOUR STUDENT-ATHLETE’S PREPARTICIPATION PAPERWORK. IF YOUR PAPERWORK HAS ALREADY BEEN TURNED IN, WE WILL ASSIT IN GETTING IT UPLOADED TO YOUR STUDENT’S PROFILE ONCE YOU HAVE SIGNED UP.
