Roanoke Ecological Science Camp

Roanoke Ecological Science Camp is a summer science camp for ages 7-11 in Plymouth, NC.  Offered by Vanguard Educational Institute, the camp is taught by Samantha Chauncey, a biologists and instructor with Pitt Community College who has won many awards for excellence in teaching and Susan Styons, a Reading and Literacy specialist with 30+ years experience in education.

The camp is located in Plymouth, NC on the beautiful Roanoke River basin.  Campers work directly with NC Wildlife Resource Commission officers, biologists, and water ecologists to conduct real scientific experiments and citizen science projects.  Campers enjoy field studies on Vanguard's Research Riverboat, use of the Plymouth Country Club grounds and pool, Field Studies to Plymouth municipal water treatment plants, and an amazing field trip to Pocosin National Wildlife Refuge where we have the highest density and largest black bear population in the world!  It is truly an experience that lasts a lifetime.  Please see the attached flyer to visit Vanguard's website and Register Now!
