Throughout the school year, Tyrrell County Schools’ students receive support from the Tyrrell County Ministerial Association with food packs that go home with students each weekend. We greatly appreciate this support for our students and families. For the first time this year, and to meet a critical need during the holiday break, the TCS Child Nutrition Program participated in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) during the week of December 27th through December 30th. The Columbia High school cafeteria was opened for lunch from 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm each day. During this period of participation in CACFP 100 meals were served to children in the community. We thank our child nutrition staff for their caring support of our students.
