The NCDPI Office of School Nutrition is pleased to announce that 262 schools have been selected to participate in the FFVP for the 2023-2024 school year and Tyrrell Elementary is one! The goal of the FFVP is to introduce children to fresh fruits and vegetables, to include new and different varieties, and to increase overall acceptance and consumption of fresh, unprocessed produce among children. The FFVP also encourages healthier school environments by promoting nutrition education.
We are excited to see the impact that the FFVP will have on the health of our students!
