Tyrrell County Schools is in the process of completing the applications for the ESSER II and III funds. We are seeking input from our community stakeholders in this process. District and school leaders have developed a tentative list of how funds will be utilized.

ESSER II and III (Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief)

● The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Act provide resources to school districts through ESSER funds to address the impact COVID-19 has had, and continues to have, on elementary and secondary schools.

● This supplemental funding opportunity is intended to help school districts safely reopen schools, and measure and effectively address significant learning loss.

● Tyrrell County Schools funds are:

○ ESSER II - PRC 171

■ $805,999.00 available through September 2023

○ ESSER III - PRC 181

■ $1,805,533.00 available through September 2024
