On our recent field trip to COA, students got to use a welding simulator used in teaching the school's welding program. High scores make it on the "Golden Wall," where many of our students scored in the 90s! In addition to the fun and games, the kids got to learn about the dual-education program, a two-year program for juniors and seniors that allows them to graduate with a welding diploma even before graduating with a high school diploma. Students who complete the program are helped to network and find jobs with starting pays as high as $22 per hour!
