We are deeply saddened to share the sudden passing of our beloved bus driver, Mr. Lassie (LA) White. Mr. LA was more than just a driver. He was a friendly face, a steady presence, and a kind soul who cared deeply for every passenger. Mr. LA served Tyrrell County Schools as a bus driver for 37 years and 11 months. He was currently the longest serving employee in the district.
His unexpected loss leaves a profound void in our hearts and in our community. We will remember LA for his warm smile, dedication, and the quiet ways he made our days better.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who knew and loved LA.
