Tyrrell County Schools received some exciting news today, brought to us by Ms. Nicole Barnes, Director of the Martin/Tyrrell/Washington Health Department. In her communication, Ms. Barnes stated,
"I am thrilled to share some wonderful news: ECU Health has notified us that our Kinder Swim Program application has been approved for funding! This support will be accessible throughout the upcoming school year, unlocking exciting possibilities for Tyrrell County Kindergarten students.
As we plan next steps, we’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with Brooke Jones, Tyrrell County Schools, and the Eastern 4-H Center to organize schedules and select dates that suit everyone involved. I will keep you informed as more details become available. Thank you for your partnership and I am eager to work together on this initiative!"
