Streamable Learning

To support teachers and student learning at public schools in Tier One counties, the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) is sponsoring free access to Streamable Learning for the 2020/21 school year. This platform offers livestreaming educational programs that link content partners and their subject matter experts to thousands of K-12 classrooms around the United States.

DNCR’s sponsorship of this opportunity is in line with their goal to expand educational opportunities for children across the state through quality online programming to improve access to experiential learning. This is especially important during a pandemic when in classroom programs and field trips are not possible.

Below are screenshots for how it works and what your subscription includes.

Start by going here to create your account --> https://www.streamablelearning.com/app/login/. Then click on "Create Account" at the bottom. Make sure you use your tycomail email address when creating your account. When you find something you like, you can book it and you will get an email with the link to submit questions and the link to join the live session. It also says:

Note: Share this livestream with your students by screen-sharing the Zoom window with your own videoconferencing platform. Alternatively, share the "Click Here to Join" link above.

I like that you have permission to share the link to join with your students instead of making them watch through your Google Meet session!!!
