State Superintendent of Public Instruction Catherine Truitt said the needs-based grants are helping districts across North Carolina with fewer local resources ensure that all students benefit from the best possible learning environments.
On September 26, 2022, our Interim Superintendent, Dr. Travis Twiford, represented Tyrrell County Schools in Raleigh, NC by attending the Needs Based Capital Funds Grant Ceremony to recognize our District for being a recipient of the Needs Based Capital Funds Grant in which we received an additional $350,000 to assist us with building our new new CTE (Career Technical Education) Center – serving Columbia High School and Early College!!!
