The Tyrrell County Board of Education is excited to announce the selection and election of Dr. Karen Morning Roseboro as the next superintendent of the Tyrrell County Schools (TCS). Dr. Roseboro will take office on October 17, 2022.

Dear Parents/Guardians – We are excited to announce that starting within the next few weeks we will begin FREE COVID-19 testing at our school!

We will be utilizing routine screening to help keep our community safe. Testing will ONLY be for the students who are registered, and it will be conducted using the gentle nasal swabbing technique (not the kind that tickles the brain!). We encourage everyone to register for this free and effective program.

The Tyrrell County Board of Education will meet in a Specially Called Meeting on Tuesday August 30, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.


The meeting will take place at Tyrrell County Schools Central Office 1107 Hwy 64 East Columbia, NC 27925
The only item on the agenda for this meeting will be a closed session to discuss confidential personnel matters pursuant to G.S. 143-318.11(a)(1), (a)(6), and G.S. 115C-321.
