The TCS Parent Portal

At Tyrrell County Schools (TCS), students build the skills and knowledge that set them up for success in the classroom and beyond. And parents and caregivers are an essential partner to helping students succeed.

From technology to athletics, we are working to give every student in Tyrrell County the support they need to live and thrive in our diverse community.
We Support All Students From Our Diverse Community
Multilingual/English as a Second  Language. All Tyrrell County schools offer English as a Second Language supports for students. Students who need additional language help get 1:1 or group support with experienced educators.
Exceptional Children. Students with disabilities work directly with highly qualified teachers and staff who help them learn. For example, we offer free speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, visual/hearing services and more.
Project Starfish: Families in Transition. Our staff works hard to make sure students who are experiencing homelessness have the support they need to enroll and access the education they deserve. Dedicated staff members work directly with families, providing them with information and school services, such as transportation.
We Offer a High-Quality Education From PreK Through College and Career
TCS Preschool Program. Tyrrell’s youngest learners deserve a strong start in life. We’re  giving them just that through our preschool  program! Our PreK program is free for Tyrrell  County families and helps build a strong foundation for a bright and healthy future for all children.
S.T.E.A.M. Opportunities in K-12. All TCS students build their knowledge in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math so they can succeed in classes and beyond. Our robotics classes, for example, help students learn how to think critically, innovate and solve problems.
Career and Technical Education (CTE). Our CTE programs give students real-world  learning opportunities. For example, students who complete CTE courses may become nurses, engineers, computer scientists and more. Students who finish their CTE courses may choose to enter the workforce, enroll in a community college or enroll in a 4-year university.
Elementary After School Learning Program. We recognize that families may need continued care for their young children after school hours. We keep students safe and learning in our afterschool program that is free for all elementary students.
Whether you’re a returning family or new to Tyrrell County Schools, we are excited for you to join our TCS community!
