At Tyrrell County Schools, our top priority is ensuring a safe, welcoming, and orderly environment where all students can learn and thrive.
We want to make you aware that the Department of Homeland Security has recently rescinded guidance that previously limited immigration enforcement actions in designated “protected areas,” including K-12 public schools. While this change has occurred, our commitment to our students and families remains the same.
Our district will continue to monitor developments and provide updated guidance to our school administrators and staff to ensure our schools remain a safe space for every student. Additionally, Tyrrell County Schools complies with all applicable federal and state laws regarding student privacy and access to student information.
