Each student in Tyrrell County has a Gmail account which connects them with the G suite of collaboration tools. Student accounts are add free and secure.
Google Classroom Many classes use an instructional management system that is part of the G suite called Google Classroom. Teachers can post assignments, videos, announcements, and links to documents within Classroom. Students can keep track of what is due on the assignments page and begin working with just a click. All of the student assignments will automatically be filed into folders in their Google Drive to help keep them organized. Out sick, no problem, students can just log into Classroom and see exactly what their classmates did at school that day. Google realizes that parents/guardians are instrumental to student success at school so Classroom provides email notifications to parents/guardians so they can stay involved and help to motivate their students. Parents will be able to sign-up to receive daily or weekly email digests of their student's progress, upcoming work and class announcements.
You Tube Channel CG Suite offers a restricted You Tube experience for students. Students have a place to store class projects/movies that they create and teachers can upload video lessons into their TCS G Suite You Tube Channel.
Hangouts Google Hangouts is Google's free video-conferencing tool that is available for teachers to use as part of G Suite for Education. Teachers can use Hangouts to connect with experts around the world and bring rich learning experiences to their class.
Collaborative Tools G Suite allows students to create and edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations right in their browser. G Suite's share feature allows multiple people to work at the same time and every change is saved automatically.

Drive Student work is saved in a cloud based Google Drive. Students can access their files from any device and share them instantly. Students no longer have to worry about saving files on a flash drive or email attachments making working between school and home easier.
Tools that students have access to include: Docs - Google Docs is an online word processor that lets you create and format text documents and collaborate with other people in real time.
Drawing - is a free, web-based diagramming software developed by Google. It allows users to collaborate and work together in real time to create flowcharts, organizational charts, mind maps, concept maps, and other types of diagrams.
Forms - Google Forms is a tool for creating surveys, tests, or web input forms. Google forms allows anyone to create an easy to use web form and tie it to a spreadsheet where they can track results. Google forms allows teachers to create test where students receive their grade instantly upon submission.
Sheets - Google Sheets is an online spreadsheet app that lets you create and format spreadsheets/graphs and simultaneously work with other people.
Slides - Google Slides is an online presentations app that allows students to show off their work in a visual way.
Sites - Students can easily create and launch a website with Google's easy website builder. Students can use Sites for projects or maybe create their own digital portfolio.
Calendar - Students have a Google calendar as part of the GAFE suite. Students can use their calendar to track assignments and due dates as well as keep up with personal events like team practice, performances, or appointments.
